Ordering & Delivery
These terms and conditions shall apply to all orders we receive. These can only be varied if we (Exmoor Teddy Bears) expressly agree in writing in which the extent of any variation will be clearly stated. By placing an order you, the customer, are agreeing to all points and no variation can or will be accepted by us.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and include value added tax (VAT) applicable to United Kingdom sales. We are VAT registered in the United Kingdom under reference number 901 2067 74. We do not offer VAT free sales to customers purchasing from outside the United Kingdom.
We will not accept any liability for any charges levied by your bank/card issuer whatsoever irrespective of your chosen payment method.
Delivery / Pre-orders & Layaway
In stock items
We aim to ship all orders within 7 working days of receiving your payment (cleared funds). If we cannot, we will attempt to contact you and give you the option to cancel your order. All deliveries are sent tracked and insured wherever possible. If for any reason that facility is not available to us we will dispatch using another method entirely at our discretion.
Certain items on this website are available to pre-order only as they are not yet in stock. This will be clearly stated on the item description. The timescale for items coming into stock is not within our control and we will not accept any liability for loss or damage suffered as a result of delivery delays.
Certain items which are available to pre-order require a deposit to reserve the item for you. This will be clearly stated on the item description. Any deposit paid by you is strictly non refundable or transferable to other products or people should you not complete your order for any reason whatsoever. Once your chosen item comes into stock we will notify you and you will have 14 days from the date of notification to make any final payment due. Failure to do so will result in your order being cancelled, the item being re-sold by us and your deposit forfeit.
Our layaway scheme is available for pre-ordered items and is strictly subject to the rules of the scheme outlined below.
We operate a layaway scheme whereby we will retain an item for you for a maximum 4 calendar months until payment in full is made by you. There are no additional charges whatsoever for layaway. The total payable is the published item price plus any postage and packing required.
Layaway can be commenced for in stock items with a deposit payment equivalent to 25% of the total item price. The balance is then due 4 calendar months later and you may pay towards the final balance as many times as you like within the 4 month period subject to a minimum £5 transaction value.
Layaway on pre-orders will only be allowed if specified at the time of pre-order and a deposit paid equivalent to 50% of the total item price. This must be decided by you at the time of the pre-order and not when the item arrives in stock. If a pre-order is placed with a deposit of less than 50% of the item price then it is subject to the rule stated in paragraph 2 of the pre-ordering terms and conditions above. The 4 month layaway period will commence the day the item comes into stock.
Layaway is available to UK customers only and subject to a minimum item price of £50. Only one item may be held on layaway for a customer at any time with the exception of our Gold Club members who may have any number of items as long as the items on layaway do not have a price value greater than £300. The maximum permitted layaway balance for Gold Club members may be varied up or down for any particular member at the sole discretion of Exmoor Teddy Bears. Any customer not paying the final balance due at the end of the 4 month layaway period will forfeit their initial deposit paid and their item will be re-sold by us. Any additional payments made after the commencement of the layaway will be refunded. A customer who defaults on layaway will be prevented from using the scheme in the future.
Please be aware that items offered for sale on this web site may only be available in very small quantities or be unique and there is always a possibility that at the time you place your order they have been sold by other means (in store, mail order) and are no longer available. We will make every effort to keep this web site as accurate and up to date as possible and you will be notified if this situation arises as soon as possible. We will of course refund any monies paid by you or you may choose an alternative item.
We reserve the right to offer bespoke layaway/pre-order terms to any customer at our sole discretion.

- Orders for £20 and over, standard delivery £3.95 (3-7 working days from dispatch)
- Express courier delivery (all order values) £9.95 (1-3 working days from dispatch)

Delivery Charges - Rest of World
We no longer ship items or accept orders from outside of the U.K. & Europe due to high shipping costs.
- We may from time to time operate delivery discounts/promotions which would be published on our website and can be offered and withdrawn entirely at our discretion without notice.
- We reserve the right to levy additional delivery or insurance charges at our discretion which would be clearly stated in an item description. Examples are particularly heavy, valuable or bulky items or where a special shipping method is requested by a customer.
The shopping basket automatically calculates and displays the amount of postage you will pay each time you add an item to it.
Please contact us if you wish us to arrange a special postal method.
Where more than one in stock item is ordered at the same time we will aim to ship all items in the same package. Where this is impractical due to item size or weight then we may dispatch separately. This arrangement does not affect the postage charges shown. This could mean that individual items arrive with you at different times.
If pre-ordering an item the postage charged is that applicable to this website when the item comes into stock. If more than one item is pre-ordered and they come into stock at different times you will be liable for delivery charges for each shipment we send.
All overseas customers are responsible for any taxes, duties or other charges which are levied by customs authorities. We are not responsible for any other charges whatsoever once an order has been accepted by us and shipped.
Returns & Complaints
We hope that you will be happy with your purchases, however you may return goods in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of delivery and we will either exchange them or refund you. For your own protection, you should ensure the goods are adequately insured while in transit.
Any claim from you in respect of goods not received or damaged in transit must be made in writing to us by post, or e-mail not later than 7 days (14 days for orders outside the United Kingdom) from the date we confirm items have been dispatched to you. Once this limit has been reached then all liability for goods not received or damaged in transit passes direct to you the customer and we will not accept any liability for such claims.
Ownership of any incorrect goods sent remains ours and upon receiving your notification we will advise you of return instructions.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service or products then please contact us - email@example.com.
Goods supplied meet safety regulations which govern their production and any exclusions or intended restrictions will be shown on labels attached to goods. Please note that goods are not manufactured by us and you should be aware of the manufacturer at the time of placing the order via our web site.
As with any type of product particular care should be exercised when giving them to children. In particular observe any age restrictions stated on labels and ensure all tags/labels and attachments are removed before giving to a child. Collector bears in particular are rarely suitable as young children’s toys and should not be purchased as such. Where we are aware of age restrictions as given to us by our suppliers, we will state this on our website.
All correspondence will be conducted in the English language only.
The contract for sale between us and you, the customer, will be construed in accordance with and governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Ownership of any goods ordered will remain with us until payment has been made in full by you the customer. The term payment in full refers to cleared funds only.
If any parts of these terms and conditions have been abused by you in any way whatsoever then your order is void unless expressly agreed in writing by us to the contrary. Any monies paid by you to us will be refunded in full once funds have been cleared.
Placing an order via this website constitutes an offer from you to purchase at the price stated on our website. Acceptance of the order by us is confirmed by either a dispatch notification or any form of separate communication regarding the order by us, excluding any automatic confirmations issued by our website to acknowledge placed orders. Placing an order does not guarantee or imply acceptance by us as we reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason and refund any monies paid in full. Where an order is refused we will provide as full an explanation as it is reasonable to do so.
